Field Trip to Frontier Culture Museum
It was a beautiful fall day and we walked through an English Farm, and American Farm and a West African Farm. This is the American Farm, which is set in the 1850's.
We are all walking to the school.
This is the one-room schoolhouse with the teacher waiting for us to come to class.
Here we are inside the school. The boys and girls were put on opposite sides of the room. We wrote on slates and practiced elocution by saying tongue twisters. The schoolhouse visit was the part of the field trip that the boys enjoyed the most.
