Day Two Hundred and Forty Nine
It took 4 days, but (in between naps and video games) we managed to get a picture of all 5 grandkids together. Sean and Malia were both a little suspicious of each other so they weren't too keen to snuggle up close. (To Malia, Sean was the voice from upstairs and to Sean, Malia was an unfamiliar little kid)
Day Two Hundred and Forty Eight
Here are John, Kiley and Teri on our night out to Clementines.
Chris snapped this picture of Malia when they were drawing silly creatures and waiting for dinner.
Here are my 3 guys at dinner. Max loved the lights and fans on the ceiling.
Day Two Hundred and Forty Eight
The Sheaffers arrived!
I was so excited to see John, Teri, Marvelous Malia and Smiley Kiley. My nieces are so wonderful and were such a joy to watch! Here they are playing with Pumpkin, who was a gracious cat host. Gracie was equally popular, but didn't take her popularity in stride like this cool cat did.
Day Two Hundred and Forty Seven
Mini High School reunion weekend
4 out of 5 of us made it, but we couldn't forget Heidi (see her Flat Heidi sitting in for her). We had a houseful- 6 kids and 5 adults- and everyone had fun.
Amy is pregnant with her first baby, so she collected tips from Julie, Anna, Max and me.
The kids and Chris decorated the house for Amy's surprise baby shower while the moms (and mom-to-be) were out at dinner.
When Max wasn't nursing or sleeping, he was smiling and drooling in Anna's arms.
Day Two Hundred and Forty Six
Felt like a pioneer woman:
made bread and yogurt, plus a big pot of porridge (oatmeal)- all with a baby strapped onto my chest.
Day Two Hundred and Forty Four
We had an indulgent weekend when Jodi, Danny and the girls came to visit. We had wonderful European cheeses and wines, along with homemade bread and fantastic brownies (made by Danny). The second night we experimented and tried a salad with roasted sweet potatoes and blue cheese. Yum!! What a great way to spend a cold, early spring weekend!
